Thousands of people are expected to flock to Devonport on Saturday for the 67th annual Devonport Regatta.
While power boat racing will be the main drawcard for many, there’s plenty of other activities on the shore and in the water, including Fashions on the Mersey, woodchopping, carnival rides, dragon boat racing and trick water skiing demonstrations.
The event has been traditionally been held near the mouth of the Mersey River, but last year moved from its traditional Sunday programme to a new location near Horsehead Creek and ran on a Saturday.
Regatta president Nigel Palmer says it was a huge success.
The event gets underway at 10 am, with a free return shuttle bus from the Paranaple Convention Centre in Devonport running all day.
