A public accounts inquiry into delays with the Spirits of Tasmania replacement ships and associated berthing infrastructure in Devonport, has called for submissions from tourism operators and manufacturers on how to offset the impacts of the delays.
Following on from the State Government’s pledge to support operators and manufactures, the committee, chaired by Independent Murchison MLC Ruth Forrest, wants submissions on opportunities to support the tourism industry and producers until the new ships are in service, and to maximise benefits once they are.
The committee has called for written submissions from individuals or organisations, with the closing date of March 7th.
