The Tasmanian Masters Games has been postponed until March next year.
The nine-day multi-sport event was due to be held next month on the North-West Coast and the North of the State, but a lack of entries has forced organisers to change the date to March 1-10 next year.
Games president Steve Martin says the decision was a difficult one to make, but organisers are hopeful the new date will be more suitable for more potential competitors.
Several sports will go ahead regardless next month due to strong entries, with pickleball, woodchopping and carriage driving to host stand-alone events, supported by the Tasmanian Masters Games.
